More About Us

Our Mission in Congo

We are a dedicated group of young innovators, environmentalists, and community leaders working together to create sustainable solutions for our region is challenges.

Through our mission, we are not just recycling plastic; we are rebuilding lives, restoring hope, and creating a sustainable future for generations to come in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Innovative Recycling Solutions

Our Impact

We collect plastic bottle waste in areas affected by pollution and conflict, and thanks to an innovative recycling technology, we transform them into filaments for 3D printing. These filaments allow us to manufacture essential objects such as:

  • Medical prostheses for war wounded
  • Reusable cups for refugees
  • Pots for reforestation, helping to restore ecosystems

Our project is more than a technical response to an environmental problem: it is a way to restore hope in a context marked by loss and uncertainty.

We believe that, even in the face of war and the climate crisis, innovative and collaborative solutions can not only reduce pollution, but also alleviate eco-anxiety, strengthen community resilience and promote peace.

Transforming challenges into opportunities for a sustainable future

Recycling for the Planet Project Issues

Environmental Crisis

The environmental crisis and its psychological consequences

Plastic pollution, especially bottles, is a major threat to the environment. This waste accumulates in soils, rivers and forests, contributing to the degradation of ecosystems and exacerbating climate change. This situation has led to a high rate of injuries and disabilities.

This environmental degradation generates a feeling of helplessness and eco-anxiety, particularly among young people and local communities, who feel overwhelmed by the scale of the climate crisis.

Conflict Effects

The devastating effects of armed conflicts in Democratic Republic of Congo

Wars and armed conflicts in the region cause massive displacement, destruction of infrastructure and limited access to basic resources. This situation has led to a high rate of injuries and disabilities, particularly among children and young people.

The victims of these conflicts, whether physically or psychologically injured, often lack suitable solutions to rebuild their lives, while refugees live in precarious conditions.

These two crises, although apparently distinct, are intertwined and aggravate the vulnerabilities of populations.

How it works

We are a youth-led initiative based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We serve individuals and communities by recycling plastic bottles and transforming them into 3D printing filament, promoting a greener future.
